The light of Celestia's sun streamed through the curtains and onto a certain pony's face. She stirred slightly as the visions of her dreams were whisked away, fantasies flying back to where they came from. Lily Blossom's eyes slowly opened, but winced even more as the light became brighter.

A purple hoof went up to shield her eyes from the light, so she could see. It was just a dream. She wished that was not so. But she had to face the facts every morning that her dreams were, and would probably not ever be, real.

She sat up, bed covers slipping off her upper body as the cold of the air around her seeped into her coat and sent chills down her spine, snapping her awake. It was as if drowsiness was like powder, and the cold air had just blown most of it away.

Along with her sweet dreams.

Slipping like sand from her mind.

Of course, she didn't like that. Already they were slipping away as she stood, remaking her bed and tucking the corners around so and so. The pegasus walked up to a white dresser decorated with small, delicate gold swirls. It was passed down to her from her grandmother, deceased. It was old, and you could see through the new layers of paint where it had cracked and the brown, wavy wood showed through. Her hoof slowly brushed over the table, reaching for a book decorated in white and pink, small flowers boardering the edges.

She dipped her quill into an inkwell before pressing the feather to the page, beginning to write down what she could remember from the dream. Beautiful words were printed onto the paper. She was always good at describing things, and could always remember a fancy word when she needed it. She had only written a small paragraph when she ran out of what she remembered. Her golden eyes scanned the page for any errors, but all she could find was perfection.

His name, everywhere.

Soarin'.

The corners of her mouth turned up slightly as she recalled the dream. But she remembered; she had to hurry. Lily Blossom had promised Holly Dash she would have breakfast with her at her house. After making sure the ink had dried, she began brushing her mane and tail, taming the previously wild knots and tangles. After that, she brushed her teeth, and was soon on her way with a basket of flowers as usual. Lily eventually arrived at a house with a huge garden of ripe strawberries. She looked at the red fruits. Holly Dash had always been the best strawberry gardener. They were swelled over the average size of strawberries, and tasted sweeter and fresher.

Lily Blossom knocked on the door politely. A pink unicorn levitated the door open, and smiled instantly. "Hey, Lily! Come in!" she chirruped, making room for the pegasus to come inside. Lily set the flowers down on the table, and joined her friend on the couch. She was levitating a newspaper incased in a strawberry red glow.

"Look, Mare Do Well in the papers again. I'm glad we took up being Mare Do Well. We've saved at least fifty lives so far, and saved twenty from getting injured badly. We're heroes!" she smiled, revealing bright red teeth with a strawberry seed wedged in a spot.

"I hope you don't mind me pointing out, but... You've got a strawberry seed in your teeth..." Lily pointed out.

"OH! Thanks for tellin' me." Holly thanked, grabbing a toothpick and flicking it out.

"Your welcome," she said quietly.

"Let's go outside for the breakfast," Holly Dash said, setting the newspaper down on a table after folding it up. Lily nodded and followed her outside with the flowers. The pink unicorn levitated the door open, walking out onto a small patio with an umbrella table and several chairs placed around. Lily Blossom stepped outside gingerly, the basket swaying in her mouth as she sat down next to her friend as the warm, hot air of Summer replaced the cool temperature that was occupying her coat just a moment before.

Before them were many things prepared with strawberries; toast with strawberry jam, strawberry pie, strawberry fruit tarts, chocolate dipped strawberries, and just plain strawberries. And it all looked so good. Lily picked up a plate and began dishing up the food onto the glass, setting the basket of flowers down of course. The mare didn't take any of the chocolate dipped strawberries until Holly had taken most of them, knowing she liked them a lot and not wanting to anger her.

The sweet smells of the food wafted into her nostrils, and she began eating. She glanced up momentarily to see that Holly Dash was enjoying her meal, scarfing down the food as if she would never see it again. Holly may be bright pink with colors to match in her mane, but she wasn't as girly as she seemed. A bit tomboyish on the side, but it was hard to describe her personality.

They were like the ying and yang, the two of them, and yet they got along so well.

"Hey, Lily, or than we were in the newspapers again, I got us Wonderbolts tickets." she said through a mouthful of chocolate and strawberry. After getting over how gross that was of her friend, her eyes brightened.

"You did?" she asked, disbelief found in her voice.

"Yup! Been savin' up."

"Oh, you didn't have to... I mean-"

"I even got us backstage passes. That means you can go meet Sooooaaaarin'." she said the name in a teasing state, finally having the courtesy to swallow her food before continuing. "Thought you'd like it, considering you have a crush on him." she chuckled.

Lily blushed from embarrassment, a squee escaping her muzzle as she smiled.

"Wow, thanks, Holly! It must have costed alot... I'll pay you back for it," she offered.

"No, no! It's a gift, Lily!" Holly chuckled, holding her pink hooves in front of her as if to stop her.

"Alright, if you say so..." she smiled.

And so the friends finished eating. Now they were inside, and Lily Blossom was halfway dressed in a Mare Do Well costume, everything but the cape, mask, and hat on. As she was pulling the mask on, she turned to Holly Dash.

"I forgot to ask you-When is the Wonderbolts show?" Lily Asked, placing the hat on top of her head and beginning to fasten the cape on.

"In a few days." Holly replied in a short sentance, already in her costume. They nodded to each other before the two snuck out the door, sliding into the branches of shurbbery on their bellies as the grass rubbed against their bellies uncomfortably. Holly stood up, and took off, running to the roofs of Ponyville and climbing up a conviently placed pyramid of crates. Waiting until Holly was out of site, Lily Blossom ran out of the shrubbery as well and began running in the other direction, thus starting their usual patrol for trouble or danger.

Lily's hooves slipped over the pieces of the roof she was currently on from mis-stepping a little, but quickly regained her balance. Everything seemed so peaceful so far. Ponies were going about their usual businnes-Carrot Top was selling carrots, Rarity and Spike were carrying a million gems back to her botique, and Pinkie Pie was watching somepony through the bushes. Curious, Mare Do Well followed the earth pony's gaze and saw that she was spying on Soarin' and Rainbow Dash. Normal ole Pinkie.

Wait a minute.

Soarin' and Rainbow Dash?

They were sitting at a table, sharing a smoothie.
Small summary: Lily Blossom and Holly Dash get angry at Soarin' and Rainbow Dash, so they enchant an army of flowers and strawberries to kill them both in their sleep. Pinkie helped too.
